Spring Spring of 2020 and my dad is getting closer and closer to retirement. He was soooo excited about finally hanging up his work hat, building his house in Hartsville, SC and taking on his dream retirement job as a “Wal Mart greeter”!!! lol…don’t laugh at my dad, that was his job and he was sticking to it!!! My dad and I carpooled together for about 3 years. Our car rides turned into “car conversations” that lasted for hours. I loved talking to my dad…he was always so full of wisdom. One day, after our ride home, instead of just dropping him off, I decided to go up and finish that conversation. I didn’t know at the time of me snapping a pic of him holding up a sign, it would be one of the last pictures I took of him, and it would also come to be the title of my book…I didn’t get it then, but I get it now…my dad passed away June 19, 2020 after both he and my mom were hospitalized with covid on their 47th wedding anniversary.

2020 I chose to pay homage to my dad by using the last pic as the cover. 2022 I chose to turn my Pain into PURPOSE!
